About
Composer-pianist Lisa Hilton debuts new compositions from her album Horizons in a live performance with saxophonist J.D. Allen, drummer Rudy Royston, and bassist Ben Street. Hilton’s evocative and impressionistic “sound paintings” explore the American soundscape of jazz, blues, and minimalism, along with classical, modernist, and avant-garde ideas. The compositions on Horizons are inspired by nature. Hilton's trio was very enthusiastically received when they played here 2 years ago.
