The California Transit Authority (CTA) stands as the visionary creation of renowned drummer and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Danny Seraphine, who also co-founded the legendary band Chicago. As a pivotal force in Chicago’s rhythmic foundation for 23 years, Danny was instrumental in crafting the band’s signature sound and played a key role in their resurgence during the 1980s. After departing from Chicago in 1990, Danny returned in 2007, responding to fans’ desire for the dynamic, horn-infused sound that captivated greats like Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix.
