About

Darius' biggest influence is undoubtedly his famous father, Dave Brubeck, with whom he and his brothers toured throughout the 70s. Darius has spent the last 25 years teaching in South Africa and touring the world. The Darius Brubeck Quartet, established in 2005 comprises Darius Brubeck (piano), Mike Rossi (saxophones and clarinet), Matt Ridley (bass) and Wesley Gibbens on drums.

Their new album "For Lydia and the Lion", reflects his eclectic influences with tunes from Abdullah Ibrahim, Bob Dylan and jazz standards. Darius composes for the London Symphony Orchestra and the Lincoln Centre Jazz Orchestra....
