This group brings the powerful ancient Dagaare tradition into the 21st century with music which will engage, entrance and excite your soul. ‘Vula Viel’ means ‘Good is Good’ in Dagaare, the language of the tribe in Upper West Ghana where Bex Burch (who plays the gyil) lived, for a while. Now it is the name of her group featuring the best of London’s young music talent: Dan Nicholls keyboard, George Crowley saxophone and Simon Roth and Dave De Rose drums.
