Canto First is an album title, but it does not translate truth because Beatriz Nunes, 30 years old, has an already extensive course, made of study and delivery, of intense experiences - from the Conservatory to international digressions with Madredeus alongside Pedro Ayres Magalhães and Carlos Maria Trindade - exploring multiple perspectives - from popular music and jazz, to the erudition of lyric singing - to returning the knowledge acquired through teaching - teaches at the Barreiro Jazz School and at the Professional Arts School in Montemor- the new. In fact, 30 years is too little for so much luggage. And that's what the experts at the European Jazz Network recognized when they awarded it a place among the many nominations for shows to be held at the On The Edge conference in Lisbon next September.

In 2018, Beatriz Nunes also signs her own debut with a Primera Canto that after all already comes with ballast of pronounced talent.
