From October through February, on the second Wednesday of each month, the Hot Springs Jazz Society presents a free "America's Art Form" concert (6-7:30 pm) in the Garland County Library's auditorium. Each concert highlights a specific type/era of jazz and features a special guest artist performing with accomplished jazz musicians from the Hot Springs Jazz Society. Performing "The Traditional Music of NOLA" on 8 October 2014 with special guest trombonist Sim Flora are Fedett "Lady J" Johnson (vocals), George "Doc" Ryan (trumpet), Earl Hesse (clarinet), Clyde Pound (keys), David Higginbotham (upright bass), and Jay Payette (drums).
