"Fusion: Incorporating Elements of Different Cultures and Musical Traditions" is the last of five free, educational jazz concerts in the "America's Art Form" series presented in the Garland County Library's auditorium from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month (October 2013 - February 2014) by the Hot Springs Jazz Society (www.hsjazzsociety.org, 501.627.2425). Performances will highlight influences from musical traditions such as classical ("Dodge the Dodo"), gospel ("The Preacher"), Native American ("Dance of the Maya"), and Brazilian ("Blue Bossa"). The program is supported in part by the Arkansas Arts Council (Department of Arkansas Heritage) and the National Endowment for the Arts.
