Jazz In The Park: Rodney Block Collective at Riverfront Park - History Pavilion

Each Wednesday (6-8 pm) during April and September, the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau presents a free, family-friendly jazz concert at the History Pavilion in Riverfront Park, located in the capital's popular downtown River Market district. Performing on 28 September 2016 is a group led by trumpeter Rodney Block. Lawn chairs and blankets (but NOT coolers) are permitted. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of beverages (wine, beer, soft drinks, water) benefits the scholarship fund for Art Porter Music Education (artporter.org), a 501c3 nonprofit. Groups performing at Jazz in the Park's 2016 spring concerts were Acoustix with Rod P (6 April), Bijoux Pighee & Band (13 April), Off the Cuff (20 April), and SynRG (27 April). Those for 2016 fall concerts were Sounds So Good (led by Curtis Adams on 7 September) and groups led by Julia Buckingham (14 September), Tonya Leeks (21 September), and Rodney Block (28 September).
