Though billed as "classical-crossover," this concert by violinist Oksana with Slavek Bolubah (drums, alto sax) and Brian Hamby (Hammond organ) is sure to please jazz aficionados. The trio has performed in the U.S. and abroad; during the past year, it has been featured at the Arkansas State Capitol, the Clinton Presidential Center, the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, and Monday Jazz at The Afterthought.

Classically trained (from age five) in the best Russian music schools and currently serving as a member of the Fort Smith Symphony, Oksana Pavilionis reads and performs orchestral pieces impeccably; an extraordinary ability to play by ear has facilitated the addition of Arkansas fiddle music, jazz, and pop to her repertoire. In addition to her career as an international performer, she is the founder, owner, and director of Ovation Music Academy (www.ovationmusicacademy.com) in Benton, Arkansas, where both Bolubah and Hamby serve as instructors.
