The Hot Springs Jazz Society's annual fundraiser (a Mardi Gras ball with costume contest and silent auction) will be held on Saturday, 25 February 2017 (6-10 pm); proceeds help support the Society's public concerts and educational programs as well as scholarships to the University of Arkansas at Monticello's summer jazz camp. Dixieland jazz will be provided by the Spa City Stompers: Earl Hesse (clarinet), George "Doc" Ryan (cornet), John Leisenring (trombone), Clyde Pound (keys), David Higginbotham (upright bass), Paul Stivitts (drums).
