New Year's Eve Dinner Dance with Stardust Big Band at Arlington Resort Hotel and Spa

The original Arlington Hotel in historic downtown Hot Springs (Hot Springs National Park) was opened in 1875, then razed and reconstructed in 1893 only to be destroyed by fire in 1923. Since the Arlington's reincarnation opened with its gala New Year's Eve dinner dance on 31 December 1924, there has been jazz by many big bands in its Crystal Ballroom; since 1992, the distinguished Stardust Big Band (now directed by percussionist Bill Halbrook, with vocalist Shirley Chauvin serving as emcee) has performed for that annual event.
