On Thursday, 6 October 2016 (7-8:30 pm) there will be a free jazz concert (open to the public) in the main sanctuary of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church in Little Rock's historic Hillcrest neighborhood. Held in conjunction with the 60th reunion of Central High's Class of 1956 (lrchs56.org), the concert will feature Swing Band Reunion (founded by members of the school's original swing band, described on its Facebook page and at swingbandreunion.com, directed by E. O. "Goose" Huddleston) as well as the 2016-2017 Central High Jazz Band (directed by Brice Evans). Info and a local map for the venue are provided via a link at the top of this Jazz Near You entry.
