A Work of Art - Jazz Week, Annual Fundraiser for Art Porter Music Education (July-August)

Proceeds from this annual, week-long fundraiser (”A Work of Art”) benefit music education and scholarships provided by Art Porter Music Education, Inc. (a “shared-mission” 501c3 nonprofit with which the Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation cooperates). The AJHF inducted pianist Art Porter, Sr. and saxophonist Art Porter, Jr. into the Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame in 1994 and 1998, respectively. Benita Porter Browning (Art Sr.'s daughter, Art Jr.'s sister, APME Executive Director) is AJHF Vice President and Eugene Porter, Jr. (Art Sr.'s older brother) is an AJHF Director.
