About

Debuted during the summer of 2013, a slightly revamped "Jazz in the Park" (now being presented from 6 pm until 8 pm each Wednesday in April and September) has returned in 2014. On 30 April 2014 (International Jazz Day), Tommy Henderson (clarinet, violin) will perform with the Art Deco Trio: Glenn Martin (keys), Gordon Norrell (tenor banjo), Pat Lindsey (drums).

Sponsored by the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau and the River Market District, with assistance from the Arkansas Sounds project within the Central Arkansas Library System's Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, these outdoor concerts are free and family-friendly. Limited seating is available in the natural-stone amphitheatre at Riverfront Park's History Pavilion (accessed from Ottenheimer Drive, north off President Clinton Avenue); in case of rain, concerts will be moved to the covered west pavilion (used for farmers' market) behind the Ottenheimer Market Hall at 400 President Clinton Avenue. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, but no coolers are allowed. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and water will be sold, with some proceeds benefitting Sculpture at the River Market. More info (including maps) is provided at www.littlerock.com and www.rivermarket.info (501.375.2552). ...
