Jazz in the Park: the Dizzy 7 at Riverfront Park - History Pavilion

Debuted during the summer of 2013, a slightly revamped "Jazz in the Park" (now being presented from 6 pm until 8 pm each Wednesday in April and September) has returned in 2014. Sponsored by the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau and the River Market District, with assistance from the Arkansas Sounds project within the Central Arkansas Library System's Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, the outdoor concerts are free and family-friendly. Limited seating is available in the natural-stone amphitheatre at Riverfront Park's History Pavilion; in case of rain, concerts will be moved to the West Pavilion. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, but no coolers are allowed. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and water will be sold, with some proceeds benefitting Sculpture at the River Market. Featured on 2 April 2014 is The Dizzy 7, a group (male and female vocalists, three horns, full rhythm section) whose music ranges from Big Band to Latin to Motown.
