Jazz Spot Tuesday: Tom Richeson and Ted Ludwig Trio at The Lobby Bar/The Studio Theatre

This "Jazz Spot" event at The Studio Theatre on Tuesday, 24 March 2015 (5:30-9 p.m.) provides a unique opportunity for socializing, networking, and enjoying fine jazz (by Tom Richeson and the Ted Ludwig Trio) while supporting an Arkansas nonprofit (Art Porter Music Education).

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and a wine-tasting (complimentary with full-event ticket) in The Lobby Bar adjoining The Studio Theatre. Theatre doors will be opened at 6:50 p.m. for the two-set jazz concert which begins at 7 p.m. Featured performers are Tom Richeson (MIDI/Musical Instrument Digital Interface wind controller), Ted Ludwig (guitar), Joe Vick (upright bass), and Brian Brown (drums). Inducted into the Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame in 2014, both Richeson and Vick are members of the faculty for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where the former serves as Jazz Studies Coordinator; their profiles appear under "Hall of Fame" at www.arjazz.org. Art Porter, Sr. (who received the Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation's first Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993) was among the inaugural inductees when the Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame was created in 1994; Art Porter, Jr. was inducted in 1998.
