Monday Jazz: Rudy Walker Combo at Monday Jazz at Afterthought Bistro and Bar

There is live jazz every Monday (8-11 pm) at The Afterthought; the $5 cover charge is waived for those dining in the adjoining restaurant. Jazz artists being featured on 4 November 2013 are Rudy Walker (drums), Bill Huntington (bass), Chris Parker (keys), and Kelley Hurt (vocals). Other accomplished jazz musicians may be invited to sit in.

The Afterthought's longstanding commitment to live jazz earned the club a citation in the first print edition of the Encyclopedia of Arkansas Music, published in September 2013 by the Central Arkansas Library System's Butler Center for Arkansas Studies/Encyclopedia of Arkansas History and Culture. The Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation/Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame holds its weekly meet-and-greet during Monday Jazz (8-11 pm) at The Afterthought.
