On 28 October 2013, Monday Jazz will feature a combo led by guitarist Steve Hudelson and including Guido Ritchie (trumpet), Matt Dickson (sax), Joe Vick (bass), and Ted Seibs (drums). Other accomplished jazz musicians will be invited to sit in.

Every Monday (8-11 pm), live jazz is presented at The Afterthought. When available, details about the week's featured performers are posted to the Facebook page for the Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation. The Foundation, which sponsors and maintains the Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame, holds its weekly meet-and-greet during Monday Jazz. ...

The Afterthought (located in the historic Hillcrest neighborhood) is the only Little Rock venue which has presented live jazz continuously (at least once a week) since the 1970s. The club and its adjoining restaurant occupy a building (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) which served as the town hall for Pulaski Heights before its 1916 annexation by Little Rock. The club's longstanding commitment to jazz earned The Afterthought a citation in the first edition (September 2013) of the Encyclopedia of Arkansas Music, published by the Central Arkansas Library System's Butler Center for Arkansas Studies/Encyclopedia of Arkansas History and Culture.
