About
On 7th July 1668 Isaac Newton got his masters degree, followed by general acceptance of his Laws of Gravity. On 7th July 1921 the pop-up toaster was invented as a means of defying them. This was a machine before its time and the bread slicing machine came along, a bit later, on 7th July 1928........ On 7th July 1947, Aliens crashed at Roswell .... ...or were possibly hit by some very stale, orbiting wholemeal .....Anyway, they were a bit late for Independence Day.... So what's all this got to do with Speakeasy Bootleg Band? .... Not a lot really,
apart from that it's the 7th July when we next come to Earth at Liverpool's iconic Caledonia (L7 7DX) for our monthly session of fun, frolics and musical Bogsnorkelling. As well as superb music, the beer's brilliant too ..... and the food's the best thing since sliced bread. So gravitate to the Cali, have your tea, drink your way along the bar and round things off with a liberal helping of the Finest Quality Bootleg Music Since Records Began.......
