Global Music Foundation is proud to present one of the greatest jazz alto saxophone players in the history of the music. McPherson was a member of Charles Mingus’ bands from 1962 to 1974, and worked with Barry Harris and Kenny Drew as well as leading his own bands. In 1988, he was featured in the soundtrack for the Clint Eastwood movie ‘Bird’ about the life of Charlie Parker.
