Nel Begley – From Brazil To Broadway at Piano Smithfield

The delightful, talented Nel Begley is the first singer in the JBGB Jazz Singers 2022 series at Piano Smithfield.

Fusing her love of Bossa Nova and Latin stylings to the swinging sounds of Broadway and the American Songbook - Nel and her band will be performing hits such as “Girl From Ipamema”, “Chega De Saudade (No More Blues) and “Comes Love”

Nel is an experienced singer and performer. She graduated with a First from Leeds College of Music where she studied Jazz under the tutelage of Lauren Kinsella.?

She has performed with numerous projects covering a wide range of styles and genres including jazz, close harmony, pop, musical theatre and vocal improvisation. Accompanying Nel is the accomplished pianist Rob Barron, returning to Piano Smithfield after his recent debut concert with James Hudson performing the music of Nat King Cole and Guildhall alumni Joe Lee on double bass.
