From its humble beginnings in a photo studio, JB has grown into an entertainment center of international reputation and the “venue of choice” by artists who come to Los Angeles to perform.

Variety's Richard S. Ginell said, “Even though this is clearly a concert hall, more like a chamber music facility than a club, there isn't an iota of concert hall stuffiness to be felt.”

When opening the Jazz Bakery, singer Ruth Price eliminated as many barriers between the performers and the audience as she could, meaning no waitresses standing between you and the stage pushing the second drink of a two drink minimum, comfortable seating, and excellent sound system. The Jazz Bakery books some of the most treasured nationally touring musicians and amazing locals, and puts them in your lap for a moderate price.
