KMC is presenting a concert recounting the history and evolution of this particular form of swing jazz, including and explanation of the beginnings of the style in pre-WWII Paris through the collaboration between Belgian gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt and the self taught Italian violinist Stephane Grappelli, and how Gypsy and European idioms coalesce with American jazz.
