KMC is presenting a concert; The Evolution of an American Art Form, Jazz. The Hardy Quartet will demonstrate jazz styles of the twentieth century and beyond, including Dixieland, Swing, Bebop, Cool Jazz and Fusion, also known as Jazz Rock. An explanation of the specific instrumentation and how the particular sound of each instrument pertains to the various jazz idioms.
