Gaizka Baena, a Spanish flamenco guitarist presents an oeuvre that departs from traditional Spanish music to explore new musical worlds. In his new solo album „Lo que va y viene“ („What Goes Back and Forth“) the guitar is accompanied by cante (flamenco singing), a dancer, violin or piano, as in a gathering place for artists where many diferent styles meet and establish a dialogue: both improvisation and fine technique, both freedom and accuracy converge in his work. This album bravely explores musical universes starting from a thorough knowledge of flamenco music where the traditional guitar freely wanders around contemporary melodies.

This young artist is collaborating with many well-known musicians such as Jorge Pardo (awarded as The Best European Jazz Musician 2012 by the Jazz Academy of France), Borja Barrueta, Jaco Abel and Sandra Carrasco, among others. Gaizka Baena is arousing an increasing interest in the world of music and having a warm welcome by both, the audience and critics, plus performed in national and international well-known concert halls and festivals.

In this concert, where the „Lo que va y viene“ will be heard, Gaizka Baena will be accompanied on the stage by Sandra Carrasco and Naika Ponce (voice), Montaña (percussion), Niño (drums) , Yago Salorio (bass), Carlos Leal (electric guitar) and Enriquito (trompet).
