Bitches Brew Revisited is Antoine Roney - bass clarinet, saxophones; Graham Haynes - cornet; James Blood Ulmer - guitar, Marco Benevento - keyboards; Lonnie Plaxico - bass; Cindy Blackman - drums; Adam Rudolph - percussion. Bitches Brew Revisited gives a fresh perspective on Miles Davis's controversial masterwork.

Miles Davis had already given previews of jazz-rock to come with “Stuff” and “Brown Hornet” in 1968 and the entire album In a Silent Way in 1969. But in 1970, the double-LP called Bitches Brew declared the arrival of a brave new era in music — called fusion. Combining jazz improvisation with the exciting, high-energy textures of post-Jimi Hendrix rock, Davis pointed the way towards a movement that involved several of the world’s most important musicians. The Bitches Brew recordings included Wayne Shorter, John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Joe Zawinul, Larry Young, Dave Holland, Jack DeJohnette, Lenny White, Airto and others. It is widely considered the most revolutionary album in jazz history. No doubt, Davis paved the way for the huge impact of ‘70s fusion bands including Weather Report, Return to Forever and the Mahavishnu Orchestra — and over 40 years later, the music still sounds vibrant and adventurous. Bitches Brew Revisited gives a fresh perspective on the controversial masterwork. And it helps to assure this music and its impact on the jazz world won’t be forgotten....
