Nottingham-born saxophonist, Toni Kofi is a formidable figure on today's jazz scene. A member of the World Saxophone Quartet he has an amazing ability to swing and express great feeling, never losing his own original sound.
The Standard Time Trio is Kofi's newly formed band featuring for tonight's gig, bassist Larry Bartley and Washington D.C. native, Rod Youngs on drums. The trio's captivating rearrangements of classic jazz standards that use every instrument to its fullest range, presenting a fresh and vibrant sound for today.
