The JMQ Jazz Ensemble is delighted to again feature singer-saxophonist Wilbur Wilde in The Basement at the Paris Cat.

The 'John Montesante Quintet' is a stylish, horn-led ensemble formed in 1990, with a penchant for Bop and Blue Note standards, featuring the finest singers and musicians in Australia.

Wilbur Wilde is a prodigious musical talent and nice guy, who has been a colleague of band-leader John, since they toured together in bands in the 1970s. Subsequently, they have performed together on many occasions and such shows are always extra special. Wilbur is celebrated for his roles in prominent bands, television, radio and stage, but now is able to devote more time to his life-time passion of live jazz performance. And it is always a pleasure having him in the JMQ line up, singing and blowing up a storm....
