Alcides Neto is a Brazilian guitarist, percussionist, drummer and vocalist based in Melbourne.

Inspired by folk music from his home country, Alcides aims to present his perspective of Brazilian music, mixing traditional styles with Brazilian contemporary jazz.

Alcides is noted by his distinctive percussive style of playing guitar, melding fingerstyle and articulate strumming techniques to achieve a dynamic, delicate and varied sound. For this show Alcides put together a 6 piece band to play a blend of his own compositions with some classical Brazilian jazz tunes.
