Vocalist Emma Gilmartin and pianist Jeremy Woolhouse first met as colleagues studying at the VCA. Songs which have been inspirational to Emma and Jeremy are presented along with compositions from each. The repertoire thus covers some jazz classics, modern hits, world music and contemporary works. Influences include Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Louis Armstrong, Jeanne Lee, Ran Blake, Norah Jones, Joni Mitchell and Astor Piazzolla to name a few.
