Even during her student days in Brisbane, Kristin was widely known as a talent to keep an eye on. But she made headlines in 2006 when she made the finals of the Jazz Vocals Competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland - and came home with the first prize. The next year saw Kristin win the prestigious Freedman Jazz Fellowship.
