N’Dambi emerged as a background vocalist for Erykah Badu, contributing to her breakthrough album, Baduizm. While working with Badu, she released 3 critically acclaimed independent albums (Little Lost Girls Blues, Tunin’ Up & CoSignin’ and A Weird Kinda Wonderful) impressing audiences world-wide with performances across the globe. N’Dambi has also appeared on projects with Dallas jazz band, Snarky Puppy; hip-hop Lecrae; pop star Ariana Grande and many more.

As a result of N’Dambi’s successful career as an independent artist she was signed to the reactivated legendary Stax Records releasing Pink Elephant in late 2009. On her 2011 Grammy-nominated album Pink Elephant, N’Dambi’s purposeful songwriting offers the listener detailed lyrical snapshots largely created from observations, rather than her own life. In 2018 N’Dambi released a collaboration EP, Air Castle with All Cows Eat Grass front-man T. Brown. She is currently working on her next project, Dream Junkie set for release in 2019.
