The Presence of soul, passion, joy and expression on BLOW's newest album can arise only from a long shared creative history such as exists with the five members of BLOW. Ted Vining and Bob Sedergreen alone share 45 years of co-operative artistry. Presence showcases BLOW's preferred and practiced compositional diversity, from beautifully crafted writing to free improvisation. The sense of dynamism, structure and completeness in BLOW's free compositions is at times indistinguishable from the written works, guided by the invisible conductor that is their rapport.
