JMQ Jazz Ensemble shall again feature TAMSIN WEST , Upstairs at The Water Rat Hotel on Thursday ,MAY 9 with a star-studded band. We are also honoured to feature international maestro saxophonist, MIRKO GUERRINI , alongside Tony Floyd, Tom Lee, Michael Harding & John Montesante.
Tamsin has been singing and performing since the age of 4, appearing on television, in movies and music theatre including a national tour as Dorothy in the Victoria State Opera production of Wizard of Oz. She spent 5 years in London singing with a number of bands including Allen Beechey’s Bright Stars of Jazz and after returning to Melbourne, continued to freelance with various bands including (until recently) Michael McQuaids Red Hot Rhythmakers. Tamsin performs at Noosa Jazz each year where some of her favourite artists are featured, including Peggy Lee, Doris Day and Bessie Smith. ...
