Gerry Lopez Quartet at Zinco Jazz Club

Born in Chihuahua, this gifted alto sax player is part of the new Mexican generation of jazz musicians. He began his studies at “Academia Municipal de Artes” in Ciudad Juarez (Mexico). Then, he went to “Conservatorio de Musica” in Chihuahua, where he studied composition. He has participated in three occasions (annually) in the International Jazz Fest by Berklee College of Music, the IAJE and the New England Conservatory. He attended the Jazz Week at Didier Lockwood Conservatory (Paris, France) studying with instrument greats Duch as Andre Villagre. He´s also working as a sideman with other Mexican jazz artists such as Densidad 6, Diego Maroto, Ilan Bar-Lavi, Wet Paint, Iraida Noriega, Rey David Alejandre, Agustin Bernal, Gabriel Punetes, Tlaxcaltecatl Latin Jazz and others… Always looking to play and learn and be a better musician.
