About
Antonio Madruga is a Florida native and is a graduate of the New World School of the Arts in Miami, currently on a full scholarship at the Manhattan School of Music, and has been elected as a freshman to the elite fellowship of the Manhattan Jazz Institute. He has performed as a member of the Monk Combo, and with both the Monk All-Star Sextet and Jazz Ensemble. He is a beneficiary of the Patrons of Exceptional Artists under the direction of Giselle Brodsky. In 2010 he was invited by First Lady Michelle Obama to perform at the White House. He has also appeared as soloist, or with his trio, at Sweet Rhythm’s (NYC), the Panama Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, The 92nd Street Y, Princeton University, The Kennedy Center, the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival, Tanglewood, Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, Zinc Bar, and Jazz at Lincoln Center....
