Miami-based jazz pianist Brandon Goldberg, now 16 years old, has been playing piano and wowing audiences since he was 3. With “ample dexterity and wise-beyond-his-years sound” (JAZZIZ), Goldberg found his passion for jazz by listening to his favorite artists, including Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and John Coltrane.
He has performed at the Newport, Twin Cities, Litchfield and Monterey jazz festivals and has graced the stages of New York’s most notable jazz clubs, including Dizzy’s Club, Birdland Theater, Mezzrow and The Blue Note. Most recently, Goldberg toured with the NYO Jazz Orchestra, playing at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.

Goldberg’s 2021 album, In Good Time, received four stars from DownBeat magazine and was named one of the top albums of the year. It features the late, great Ralph Peterson on drums along with Josh Evans, Stacy Dillard and Luques Curtis. Goldberg’s 2019 debut album, LET’S PLAY!, also received four stars from DownBeat, which placed it among the year’s best albums. LET’S PLAY! also reached the top seven on the Jazz Week album charts.
Goldberg is the youngest recipient of the ASCAP 2022 Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award. He is a three-time winner of the DownBeat Student Music Awards in the jazz soloist and original composition categories. This is a performance not to be missed!
