Damian J Project Presents Los Havana Knights In Sesión Latina at 305 Brews

Since the release of my debut album, "Sessions 33 1/3", the official home of the Damian J Project became 305BREWS. Quietly nestled in the heart of the design district, blocks away from the Midtown Mall lies a local craft beer garden dedicated to supporting the arts and local breweries, serving great food and coffee as well as featuring all local taps from the Magic City & beyond. 305BREWS has been named "Best New & Upcoming Neighborhood Bar" by DJP and now in it's 3rd year continues to grow into a Wynwood Miami destination. Our last attempt at having jazz on a weekly basis there was last summer with a series called Jazz: History & Future. Sole proprietor Zeke Man and myself have come up with a whole new idea. We are going to start the city's first Latin Jazz Jam Session, we call it "Sesión Latina" and it will feature Los Havana Knights....

Beginning on Friday, March 9th, 2018 at 8pm we will have the knights play a preliminary set and then have intermission at which point anyone interested in performing selections from the Latin Jazz library are encouraged to participate with this legendary group of musicians. Los Havana Knights recreate the origins of Latin Jazz from its inception on the island of Cuba. Famed master percussionist Walkain "Chino" Dieguez and the island's rising star trumpeter Jimmy Granda join us on this weekly adventure. Please help me spread the word! There is no charge for this event! Parking is available at a nearby lot or blocks away is the Midtown Mall with plenty of parking.
