The Frost School of Music’s Department of Studio Music and Jazz presents a concert inspired by the Lowe Art Museum’s exhibit Pan American Modernism: Avant-garde Art of Latin America and the United States, 1919-1979. The art exhibit explores the rich visual dialogue that exists between objects produced by artists working in 13 countries in North, South and Central America during the 60 years between 1919 and 1979 and this concert explores jazz as a hemispheric phenomenon during the same time period.
