The Sunshine Jazz Organization is heading into their 38th Season! SJO's monthly concert series, "1st Fridays Live at The Lyric" presents a wide variety of Jazz-based artists with a myriad of styles and colors every first Friday at The Historic Lyric Theater in Overtown. Friday, July 5th presents "VIBEAT".

The group cleverly flows between genres, and pushes the boundaries of jazz, beats, and synth-music to create sounds all their own. Original music written by Nathan Skinner (malletSTATION), and Sean Devivo (Sax) use familiar musical building blocks from Jazz, R&B, Trap, and Electronica to create a whole new world of grooves, melody, and mind-bending soundscapes that are sure to take you on a trip. - Performing music from their debut album - "V I B E A T E P " features Nathan Skinner on malletSTATION/synth/electronics, Sean Devivo - saxophone, Joshua Ewers - bass, and Andre Sudol - Drums.

Tickets are available on the website at www.sunshinejazz.org, and at the Theater door. $30 Gen / $40 VIP (wine & hors d'oeuvres ).
SJO is a non-profit entity supported by donors, grants and members. Programming is presented with the support of the Miami-Dade County Dept. of Cultural Affairs, the Cultural Affairs Council, Miami Dade-County Mayor, and Board of County Commissioners. SJO is ADA Compliant.
