The Sunshine Jazz Organization Celebrates 36th Season! at The Historic Hampton House

The Sunshine Jazz Organization is very proud to be celebrating our 36th Season for the love of Jazz! Join us for a grand celebration on November 19th, 2022 at the legendary Historic Hampton House in Miami. Our featured artists are among the finest musicians on the planet - Multi-Grammy-Nominated Jazz Legends *Saxophonist Bobby Watson and *Bassist Curtis Lundy, a recent South Florida Jazz Hall of Fame Inductee. Stay tuned for special guests and more.
*The Historic Hampton House is a valuable piece of Miami’s black history and it’s the only segregated hotel of that era still standing today. Nancy Wilson, Sammy Davis, Sam Cooke, Joe Louis, Jackie Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Martin Luther King and many more including SJO founder/Jazz DJ China Valles frequented the Brownsville cultural center. After falling into disrepair in the 70s, the Hampton House has received a dramatic restoration and is once again becoming a hub for African-Americans. The venue, with it's Miami Modern architectural style, has a museum and live music, and the restoration is a point of pride once again for the Liberty City community. ...
