June 21 from 5-7 PM, FREE: The Global Arts Project presents The Liberty Plaza Jazz Series, featuring the Warren Hill Quartet. Warren Hill, vocalist, has played on stage with or opened up for various national acts, most notably Johnnie Mathis, Clarence Clemmons of the E Street band, Nestor Torres, Huey Luis, and many more. Has fronted such local groups as Sound of Vision, Miami Big Sound Orchestra, Eric and the Jazzers, and his own combo the Warren Hill Band. He has done numerous studio projects most notably his own original project produced in Los Angeles by Ralph Johnson, Andrew Wilfolk and Larry Dunn of Earth, Wind and Fire; he also wrote and performed the original Latin style theme song for “The Pulse of Miami” a regional television series featuring national acts and produced by the late Power House Radio and TV personality Bo Griffin. Warren is an alumnus of the famed Miami Beach High Rock Ensemble, the nationally acclaimed original high school performing band that was nominated to the rock and roll hall of fame; presented the Musical Director’s Award by Mr. Doug Burris, director. You can catch Warren performing locally Sundays, 4-7 with his trio at Blue Jean Blues in Fort Lauderdale....
