SJO's 35th Season continues their monthly concert series with fabulous Latin Jazz. Join us on Friday, August 19th for the melodic, spicy rhythms of "Eddy Balzola & ORIENTE! / Soul Jazz Meets the Clave". Cuban born guitarist/composer Balzola debuted his world fusion band at Snug Harbor Jazz Club New Orleans in the mid-90s. ORIENTE’s bluesy jazz and soul seasoned with Afro-Cuban & Caribbean rhythms, were unique, fresh, cool and colorful. The band’s musical palette ranges from melodic, bluesy, swingin’ and sensitive, to get-down funky, with serious organic rhythms, and always with the freedom to improvise at any moment.
