A CD release party for Quartet/Quintet, the latest double disc set by Twin Cities jazz guitarist Cory Wong set for release on April 23. The “Quartet” portion showcases a blend of contemporary, hard-hitting jazz as well of straight-ahead jazz. The “Quintet” side is much more of a rock-infused jazz sound, reflective of the era in which the musicians grew up. Performing with Wong are Billy Peterson, Zach Schmidt, Kevin Gastonguay, Dan Musselman, and Andy Schuster.
