Hailing originally from Puerto Rico, Efrain is recognized as one of the finest and most complete all round percussionists in the world. He has performed with such diverse artists as Stan Getz, George Benson, Placido Domingo, Los Lobos, Kiss, and on countless motion picture and television soundtracks. An internationally in-demand educator, he taught 16 years on the faculty of Musician Institute in Los Angeles, and most recently presented a series of masterclasses on the Drum Channel website. On Monday, April 7th, Efrain will present, in support of his newly released ebook, From Linear to Harmonic, a masterclass that focuses on rhythm in ways that are uniquely scientific and soulful with information that is truly enlightening for all musicians. From its origins and applications in (and beyond) music, what you thought you knew about rhythm will be surpassed by what you’ve never considered in ways that will broaden your musicianship and overall understanding of life itself.

The masterclass will conclude with a performance by Efrain guaranteed to inspire all who attend.
