The JazzMN Orchestra is pleased to feature Grammy award-winning artist Terence Blanchard as we open our 2016-17 concert season on October 1st at the Ordway Concert Hall. Blanchard brings a rich background from his New Orleans roots, to his hard bop performances with Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, to his introspective movie scores for director Spike Lee. Also joining the season opener will be Twin Cities favorite, vocalist Connie Evingson. The Concert Hall provides an intimate setting where audiences can experience the live acoustic experience and the full range of power and beauty of the JazzMN Orchestra....
