Music has always been an important part of Jennifer Lund’s life. She started studying piano and voice at the age of eight and continues to study music today. For the past 14 years, Jennifer has sung mezzo-soprano with the Minnesota Chorale – principal chorus for the Minnesota Orchestra. Though much of her training is classical, Jennifer started studying jazz voice and piano several years ago and found it to be a wonderful alternative to the more traditional approach to music to which she was accustomed. Music has always been an important part of Jennifer Lund’s life. She started studying piano and voice at the age of eight and continues to study music today. For the past 14 years, Jennifer has sung mezzo-soprano with the Minnesota Chorale – principal chorus for the Minnesota Orchestra. Though much of her training is classical, Jennifer started studying jazz voice and piano several years ago and found it to be a wonderful alternative to the more traditional approach to music to which she was accustomed. Jennifer is currently a voice student of Vicky Mountain at MacPhail Center for Music.

After a 15 year absence from performing to raise a family, Suzanne Paris returns to the music scene. Receiving encouragement from her mentor Vibraphone great Buddy Montgomery, she made her debut with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Jazz Unlimited Series, and went on to a solo career and back up vocalist for major recording artists. Pop to standards, Suzanne’s expressive interpretations reveal a tasteful elegance that takes you back to a more romantic time. This is Suzanne’s first time performing at Jazz Central.

Susan Scofield sang her first solo on stage at age 5. Since then she’s shared the stage with everyone from solo piano to the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra to the Swing Beat Big Band. Currently a member of Vocal Essence, she’s excited to perform at Thursday Vocal Jazz.
