Joe Mayo at Jazz Central Studios

Joe Mayo hails from Windsor, CT and recently moved to Minneapolis after a brief stint in Brooklyn, NY. He received his Masters Degree in Jazz Studies at the Purchase College Conservatory of Music in 2008 and his Bachelors Degree in Jazz and African American Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2005.

Joe has had the privilege of studying classical saxophone with Professor Lynn Klock and jazz with saxophonists Adam Kolker, Ralph Lalama, Eric Alexander, Seamus Blake and trumpeter, Scott Wendholt.
