The Thursday Vocal Jazz Series was established to spotlight established singers as well as up-and-coming Twin Cities vocalists. This week at Jazz Central Studios we welcome Katia Cardenas!
Katia Cardenas is an up and coming vocalist in the Twin Cities, recognized for her radiant energy, impeccable range, and dynamic yet powerful voice. Katia has received numerous accolades for her performance abilities, including winning “Mac Idol” a singing competition at Macalester College, and leading her a cappella group, Late Night Menu, to the final rounds of auditions for NBC’s “The Sing Off” as lead vocalist. She has collaborated with numerous local musicians, experimenting with different musical styles, including Jazz, R&B, pop and soul–which will be showcased in her performance at JCS....
