The Jazz Women All Stars were created by Minnesota Music Hall of Fame vocalist and jazz radio personality Patty Peterson. For this show, the Jazz Women All Stars feature Peterson, vocalist Ginger Commodore, vocalist and pianist Linda Peterson, saxophonist Sue Orfield, pianist Mary Louise Knutson, bassist and guitarist Joan Griffith, and drummer Sheila Earley—gifted musicians who fill the stage with their talent and who have performed and recorded with Doc Severinsen, Oleta Adams, Bobby Lyle, and many more.

Vocalist Patty Peterson is a member of Minnesota’s First Family of Music. She has won eight coveted Minnesota Music Awards—seven for best vocalist and one for best jazz recording—and was named Minnesota’s Jazz Hero of 2020 by the Jazz Journalists Association. Peterson’s five solo records feature luminaries such as Sheila E., David Hazeltine, Stokley Williams, and Ira Sullivan, and she has performed sold-out concerts all over the country.

This ensemble brings together the finest women jazz instrumentalists and vocalists in the Twin Cities.
